Barry at benefit art saleInstead of selling lemonade in front of my house growing up, I made money drawing neighborhood kids and their pets for ten cents a pop. My first caricature was of my college design instructor; huge, frizzy hair and a roman nose. He liked it. I had fun practicing on the last crop of presidential contenders.

The first real opportunity to test my skills was at an art fundraiser to raise living expenses for a friend recovering from surgery. I had never done live caricatures in public, and was practicing my speed and skills all the way up to showtime. Three hours later I had created twenty-three likenesses, met some incredible people and had the time of my life. I was hooked.

I would love to create caricatures at your event. Here’s a link to my contact page.
